Dialight
Europe Ltd can be traced right back
to 1952 with the forming of Magnetic
Devices at the present Newmarket site.
In 1977 Magnetic Devices joined forces
with Pye Electro Devices (solenoid
manufacturers) and in 1983 was renamed
PED. 1992 was the year that UK market
leader PED merged with Belling Lee,
a world class manufacturer of fuses,
fuse holders, filters and connectors,
to form BLP Components Ltd. Also,
during a series of mergers and acquisitions,
BLP became a key part of the Dialight
plc group of companies. In September
2006, BLP Components Ltd adopted the
new name of Dialight BLP Ltd in line
with the Dialight plc group. In January
2011, Dialight BLP Ltd was then renamed
Dialight Europe Ltd, Dialight plc
moved the headquarters of the group
to the Newmarket site and merged Dialight
Lumidrives Ltd with Dialight Europe
Ltd.
Dialight
Europe still manufactures products
under the BLP and Belling Lee brand
names alongside electromechanical
solutions based on solenoid technology
derived from PED. Though the products
being designed and developed today
are at the forefront of electromechanical
and LED technology, the years of experience
in these fields ensures Dialight produces
innovative cost effective products
which surpass all our customers'
expectations.
